Wood Lake Scout Reservation (Camp Tamarack)

Camp Description:

Camp Use: Summer Camp and weekend camping

Acres: 500 acres

Number of Camp Sites: 15

Camp Facilities:

Dining Hall (capacity 300, heated, water from mid-April to mid-October)
Blair Lodge (capacity 24, heated, winter water hydrant)
Rotary Lodge (Capacity 24, heated, winter water hydrant)
O.A. Lodge (capacity 24, heated, winter water hydrant)
Cook Cabin (capacity 2, electric range, refrigerator, flush toilets, and showers)
Health Lodge (capacity 6, electric range, refrigerator, flush toilets, and showers)
16 staff cabins (capacity 2, electricity, 10 x 10 feet huts)
trading post, swimming pool (not heated), Council Ring, Eel Pavilion, and Chapel.

Available Activities: archery, canoeing, climbing tower, conservation projects, cross country skiing, fishing, game stalking, hiking, ice activities, low impact camping, mushroom hunting, orienteering, rifle shooting, row boating, sailing, swimming, and tree planting, wilderness survival.

Camp Tamarack has two lakes, Wood Lake and Little Wood Lake. About half of the camp is hilly and about half rather flat. Some of the flat lowlands are marshy. There are many trails within the camp. Camp Tamarack is nearly totally forested.
