Camp Description:

Camp Use:  Summer Camp and weekend camping

Acres:  262 acres

Number of Camp Sites:  17

Camp Facilities:  

  • Dining Hall (capacity: 160; heated) 

  • Ivey Lodge (capacity: 25; fireplace) 

  • Winter Quarters (Capacity: 14; wood burning stove) 

  • Nature lodge, trading post, swimming pool (not heated), Council Ring, Eel Pavilion, and Chapel.

Available Activities:  archery, canoeing, climbing tower, fishing, hiking,  rifle shooting,  and  wilderness camping.

Camp Buffalo is located on the Tippecanoe River.  The land is mostly flat with a few hills including a steep 40 foot hill receding into the Tippecanoe River.  The camp contains a small, shallow pond and has a ditch flowing through it.  There are numerous trails to follow throughout the camp.  Camp Buffalo is dissected down the middle by a infrequently used country road.   The Camp also contains a prairie.
